Fish Lake

We went to Fish Lake last weekend. It rained.Lucy whined.Marley and Oso sulked.So we went for a drive.Lucy LOVED it.How to enthrall a Peterson:Have Collin put together Grandpa's birthday shotgun in front of them.Collin and Lucy.While fishing we saw this amazing rainbow...And the boys caught this fish...And this fish...And this fish...Oh, and this fish!Two of our nephews were on the boat when Collin caught this 25 pound Mackinaw Lake Trout. The plan was to take them out for a few minutes then drop them off back at camp so the adults could do some "real" fishing. Ha ha. Oh well.
It took him and his dad 45 minutes to haul it in.Don't they look impressed?Collin with the two best catches of his life:Collin and his mom. She was a little more willing to be close to the fish apparently. And I leave you with one more. Of the fish. And Collin.

My Grandma, Mom, Sister,and I went and saw Star Trek for the second time. Yeah, you read that right. The Star Trek that came out last weekend, the most awesome movie I've seen in a long time (including X-Files), we've all seen it twice. And loved it.

And can I just say, I LOVED the casting. I had some doubts, but it was really fantastic. May the new franchise live long and prosper.
